The food concept at Stenungsbaden flirts with the meeting between the Swedish west coast and the American east coast. We work with local sustainable suppliers from Sweden and have a lot of focus on seafood because the hotel is situated just by the sea. Our head chef comes from The USA and has with his expertise selected his American favorites on the menu such as lobster roll, cobb salad and key lime pie, but you will also find Swedish classics such as herring from Klädesholmen with boiled potatoes, red onion, dill and browned butter, baked cod with beets, capers and horseradish and entrecote with red wine sauce. Our menus are simply inspired by the Nordic and the American cuisine, the best of what the seasons have to offer.
The food concept is easy to love because it’s both simple and complex. Our focus has been to enhance all the beautiful flavours, all the way through and to celebrate the fantastic classic dishes from Sweden and America that are prepared by chefs with solid experience. A menu that we ourselves would like to eat and cook, every day of the week. To put it simple, it is food that taste great and that we look forward to cook for you.
